SSS arrests gang robbing foreigners in Abuja
The SSS arrested the duo of Ikechukwu Obadiegwu and Ikechukwu Eke that carried out surveillance on potential targets and robbed them in Abuja

Nigeria’s secret police, the State Security Service (SSS), has announced the arrest of criminal gang that specialises in robbing foreigners in Abuja, the nation’s capitforeigners
Premium Times reports that the SSS said the gang, which robs foreigners visiting and living in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was responsible for the attack on an expatriate at an exquisite hotel in Abuja and carted away his money and other valuables.
The SSS confirmed the arrest in a statement by Tony Opuiyo saying that the suspects Ikechukwu Obadiegwu and Ikechukwu Eke are now in custody.
It was Obadiegwu that carried out surveillance on potential targets while Eke is the leader and brain behind the whole operation, the statement said.
The secret police says it has recovered practically all of the items stolen by the group.
The agency also announced the arrest of a notorious fraudster called Auwalu Yakasai at Gwaron Dutse, Kano Municipal, Kano state.
Yakasai was apprehended for allegedly defrauding Jaiz and Unity Banks of N100 million and N50 million respectively.
